Schmitz Family Get-together 2011

We try to get together every year around Grandma Helen’s birthday (which is Ava’s birthday too). It is a nice time to get together, play games, let the little ones meet and play with their other cousins, and of course eat!  This year we decided to get pictures since the majority of everyone was there.

Ava’s Birthday Celebrations

As it always seems to happen in our house, Ava didn’t just celebrate her birthday once, but a multiple of times.

We started the night before her birthday eating out with Grandma and Grandpa Freese, Grandpa Pete and our family at Outback Steak house.

Then had cake and open presents the night of her birthday.

And ended with a pool birthday and staying at a hotel on Saturday…she is one spoiled little girl.

Happy 2nd Birthday Ava

It seems like just yesterday this little princess entered our lives.  She is growing so fast and brings so much joy to our lives. 

Last night we took her to Outback Steakhouse for a family meal…the wait staff brought out a dessert for her at the end of our meal and sang to her.  It was so funny because she got really embarrassed and just kept her head down as they sang.  I would have never guessed our outgoing little Ava would get embarrassed like she did.

Saturday we are celebrating her birthday with our extended family and friends and having a Toy Story 3 pool party.  She is so excided it is all we have heard about for the past couple weeks.  I am anxious to see if she gets just as embarrassed when we sing to her that day.

Puggle Puppies!

My sister’s dog had 7 puppies over Thanksgiving. Unfortunately they lost one of the little girls. So now they have 5 boys and 1 girl.  Over the weekend we were finally able to go down and see them.  They are SOOOO cute and as you can see Ava was in love!
