What’s new with the kids….

Kyle
Kyle is getting ready to start spring baseball soon.  I am getting anxious to watch him play again.  He has been on the A honor roll again for the last 2 quarters, and is very ready for the school year to be over. 
Allicia
Allicia has been participating in Readers Theatre at school, she goes every morning before school and each week they work on a small play.  Sometimes they perform the play for the public and other times they just perform it for some students within the school.  She has really enjoyed it and she has definitely learned a lot.  She will also be completing her last couple weeks of dance for the year, and then starting soccer practice shortly after that.  This summer she will play baseball for the first time, so between her, Kyle and Dave we will be living at the ball fields this summer. 
Ava
Ava has been growing like a weed and learning so much.  She is starting to talk like crazy saying Mommy, Daddy, Kyo, Maddie, Uh-o, Bye Bye, and much more. We are still working on Alli, but it is so close to Maddie she gets confused. Her new favorite thing to do is stand on the back of her chair and look out the window, usually yelling for her brother or Maddie.  She is such a little monkey, when it is quiet we never know what we will find her trying to crawl on or into.  She loved to sit in her toy box and the snack drawer.  She also loves to hold your hand when she is sleepy or rocking, it is so sweet.  Speaking of sleeping, she is finally sleeping through the night and has been shortly after she turned a year.  I never thought the day would come, but boy am I glad it has.  As for her eating habits, she is one picky eater.  She likes pasta, rice, cereal and fruit.  No veggies or meat for this girl.  She just recently cut two more top teeth so now she has a total of 6 teeth, 4 on top and 2 on the bottom.

It has been far too long…..

Man so much has happened since the last time I posted, I’m not sure where to start.  We have had so much going on in our lives and with the nice weather approaching it’s only going to get worse.  I hope to get better about blogging again really soon, but for now I am just going to upload a few pictures to summarize what we have been doing for the last couple months.

February was full of out of town visitors.  My sister Joni and her son Houston were home for what was supposed to be 1 short week, but quickly turned into a month due to hospital stays, sick kids, important doctor appts, etc.  Her Husband Tommy was even able to make a last minute trip home to see us too, which was very unexpected and fun.  While they were home we had Houston Baptized, which was another highlight of their stay.

We also hosted our dear friends Carolyn and Lionel for a weekend.  The time was far too short, but enjoyable as always. 

During the month of February, some other fun events were a Lobster and Steak dinner with the family for Valentines Day, ice skating, and a swimming birthday party for Beau.     

    

So far March has brought nice weather, playing outside…

So, I think that is pretty much what has been going on in our lives the past couple months.  Stay tuned for updates on the spring sports that will be starting soon.
