Kyle's 2nd Football game of the Season

Saturday was Kyle's 2nd football game of the season. They had another great win 16-6. It was a tough game for the boys, even though they won, there were a lot of tough calls made against them and three of the boys ended up getting injured. They really worked hard for their win.

Grandpa's 86th Birthday

I'm playing catch up so I know this is late but at least I got it on there. Last Sunday we celebrated my Grandpa Dick's 86 birthday at my Aunt Roe Ann's. It was a very hot but beautiful day. Grandpa really enjoyed seeing all the family and spending time with all of us. Happy Birthday Grandpa....We LOVE you!

Meet Avery

Today we helped my sister and her husband tear off and put on a roof over the front of their house, just as we arrived I noticed that Ava had pooped through her outfit and unfortunately I didn't bring anything with. So we had to raid Beau's closet and our sweet little princess went from being pretty in pink to this.....

The kids called her Avery all day, since she looked like a little boy. Just to prove she is all girl. Below is a picture of her sporting her new, and VERY girlie, head band. Doesn't she look cute???

Kyle's 1st Football Game

Today Kyle had his first football game. His team did great and won 24 to 6. Kyle had many great plays, including a kick return that he ran for 10-15 yards. Great game Kyle. We're looking forward to the rest of the season.

1st Day of School

Today was Kyle's 1st day of 7th grade and Allicia's 1st day of 3rd. They're getting way too old.

Trouble!

Ava had a little trouble falling asleep last night. As you can see from the pictures she doesn't look to sleepy does she?? It was probably a combination of the time change, being sick, and the long naps she took when she wasn't feeling well. We found her sitting up in her bed playing with her new stuffed monkey she got on vacation. Then after laying her down and hoping she would stay asleep...she disagreed and started yelling us for us from her bed. She is definitely starting to be a little stinker!

Our trip to Vegas!

Thursday we left for Vegas. We had a great time playing in the arcade, riding the roller coaster at New York New York, sitting by the pool, seeing the Lion King, and hanging out with family. Our last night in Vegas ended up being very eventful. Ava decided this trip to Vegas was going to be not only her 1st trip on an airplane, but her 1st time getting sick, and her 1st time going to the ER. And what a place to be, huh?!?! Thankfully we had a great taxi driver on our way to the ER, he took us to a hospital a little ways off the strip. It was pretty quiet, but definitely not like the hospitals we have here in MN. I am decently thankful for the health care system we have here at home. After a few hours at the ER we were finally able to see the doctor and Ava was diagnosed with a sore throat. They said she had white spots on her throat and her ears were a little red. So they discharged us with a prescription and sent us on our way. By the time we got back to the hotel, it was around 2:30 am. Dave and his Dad went to fill the prescription since we could only fill it in the State on Nevada, we were told there was a pharmacy just down the street from our hotel. At 4:30 am Dave and his Dad were finally home. Apparently the pharmacy just down the street was not open 24 hours like we thought it was, they ended up finding a pharmacy about 3 miles off the strip.
