And The Winner is……….

ProStall!!

IMG_6103

And what a game it was.  Just into the 4th quarter we made a touch-down putting us ahead 18 to 16.  They get the ball at our 40 yard line with 4 minutes left in the game.  As they push closer and closer to their end zone the tension in the stadium rose.  With 35 seconds left they are at their 10 yard line with a 1st down!  All they would have had to do was kick a field goal to win the game…but they chose to go for the touch down and our defense came together for a big win!!!!!!  It was a tense last minute of the game but we walked away with the victory.  After 5 years of playing together ProStall won their 1st championship.  What a way to end their last year of youth football.  Next year the boys will be in High School and the boys from both teams that played last night will be teammates….and what a great team they will have!  I am just a proud Mom and can’t wait to watch Kyle in is High School football career!  Way to go Kyle!  I love you!

Wild Bed-head!

Pictures 279 Pictures 278 Allicia woke up the other morning looking like this……

Her dear friend Ashley, who comes over every morning before school, walked in the house and saw her and said, “Allicia, what is wrong with you?”  It was super funny and the look on her face when she saw Allicia was priceless.

Pumpkin Patch 2010

Sunday we spent the afternoon playing at Tweite’s Pumpkin Patch in Byron, Minnesota.  We had a lot of fun, but Mom had to do a lot of walking.  Thankfully, I just bought some new shoes that really support my hurt foot.  I was really tired after all the walking, but my foot hurt a lot less than I thought I would.  Below are a few pictures from our day!

Mississippi National

Last year we bought Dave’s Dad a gift certificate to Mississippi National Golf Course in Red Wing, MN for his birthday.  We didn’t get around to using it until this year and despite golfing with a broken leg, we had a great time and enjoyed the beautiful fall views. It was a perfect fall day for golfing.  Below are a few pictures from our day.

We’re In the Championship!!!!!!

Pictures 232 Kyle is #22!

WooHoo!  After 5 years together as a team, Kyle’s football team has finally made it to the championship!  Saturday they played an awesome game and Kyle has many great plays.  He has several big tackles, a blocked punt at our 10 yard line (which was a major play!), and a huge block opening up a hole for our running back to run down the field.  Needless to say I was a proud Mom!  I am looking soo forward to the big game on Friday night.

The boys get to play Friday night at the college field under the lights.  It will be a fun experience and I can’t wait to watch them play.  Stay tuned for a final update next weekend!

Sad News!

I wasn’t sure I was going to share this news on our blog, but since most people know already I figured I might as well share it on my blog as well.  Dave and I were excited to post this picture to announce our exciting news that we were expecting.
surprise
Unfortunately, I started having troubles a few weeks after we found out we were pregnant, and things only went down hill from there.  Despite the rough spots and worry some symptoms I had been having, I went to the doctor a few times and we were able to see the baby and a heartbeat.  I was hopeful that things would improve and that we would be in the clear, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case.  We ended up loosing the baby on September 30th.  It has been a rough road, but we will try again and hopefully the next time we will have better luck.

Heading Into Play-offs! Good Luck Kyle!

Saturday begins the start of play-offs for Kyle's football team. They won their game again last week so they ended the season with a record of 5-1. Not bad, huh?
I'm anticipating a good game on Saturday and hoping for another big win. If the boys win Saturday they will play for the championship next Friday...stay tuned for an update.

Oh How Ava has Grown!

So what has our little miss Ava been up to??  A lot of trouble…no really she is a very good girl and fills our life with a lot of joy.  Below are a few pictures of the funny things our little Ava bear has been up to.

Pictures 205 Pictures 177 Pictures 197 Pictures 199 over the last 12 weeks, I have been able to spend a lot of time with my sweet girl.  I honestly think it is the only good thing that came out of my foot injury.  I know I would never get a full 12 weeks of sitting around watching Ava and snuggling on the chair with her otherwise.  Besides the pain and restrictions, I have really enjoyed spending time at home with Ava.

So what is a typical day like for Ava??  Well, she is a lucky girl and gets to spend her days at home with Grandma and Grandpa.  She really loves spending her days with them and sure gets spoiled by their undivided attention.  Since she gets to spend her days with Grandma and Grandpa she also gets to sleep in as late as she wants.  This is something she really likes, since some nights she doesn’t go to sleep very well.  Once she wakes up she likes to have a glass of chocolate milk.  Then she after she downs the sippy cup of milk she usually needs her pants changed and then wants breakfast.  After breakfast she watches SPROUT TV and plays with Maddie and her toys.  She loves taking all her toys out of her toy box and going outside to blow bubbles.  Then depending on the day, she might take a late morning nap. It just depends on how late she sleeps in that day.  For lunch she usually doesn’t eat much.  She is a very picky eater.  She enjoys fruit, noodles, cheese, and bread.  She won’t touch a piece of meat or vegetables.  It is always a struggle trying to figure out what we are going to feed her for the day.  After lunch if she didn’t have a morning nap she will usually have an afternoon nap.  Then before she knows it Kyle is home from school and then so is Alli.

Ava is such a little talker, there isn’t much she can’t say.  Her latest line is, “That’s SOOOO tute!” and lots of “Please” and “Thank you’s”, she is a very polite little girl.

So that is about with Ava.  I am sure there will be more to come, but that is it for now.
