Have you ever seen a baby sleep like this???

Seriously, she loves to sleep with her hands behind her head. What a goofy little girl.

Ava's Four Months Old

It's been a while since I've posted and Ava is growing like a weed. She is wearing clothes anywhere from 6 months in size up to 12 months. She is so darn long it's not even funny. I honestly have never heard of a 4 month old wearing 12 month clothes and its not because she's chubby. I'm guessing we will always have troubles finding this girl pants that fit. She will probably have long skinny legs and no waist.

She is also getting very active. She loves to play with her toys and has really taken to this johnny jump up toy we have. It's kind-of like an excersaucer with all the toys around it, but it's actually like a johnny jump up on legs. It's very cool and she loves it. Unfortunately, it takes up most of our living room. No wonder we need a new house, huh?!?!

She has also started making this face where she sucks on her bottom lip and then blows bubbles. The poor girl's chin is starting to chafe from all the bubble blowing/sucking/and drooling she does. I keep thinking she will get a tooth any day the way she chews on everything, but Allicia was the same way and never got a tooth until she was close to 9 months old. And apparently David did the same thing, so who knows when she will get one. I thankfully invested in a large pack of bibs because we seem to change them several times a day because they are soaking wet. :)

Oh...and one last thing. Her hair seems to have a mind of its own sometimes. From birth she has had this little patch of hair that likes to stand straight up. Check it out. She looks like Alfalfa. I hope it starts to lay down or we may need to adopt a hair-do like Cindy Lou Who.

One week down!

Well, our spring schedule has officially started. Mondays Kyle has baseball games, Tuesdays Dave has softball, Wednesdays another baseball game for Kyle, Thursdays OFF (maybe mom can catch a yoga or pilates class), and then back at the fields again on Fridays for Dave. Yikes HUH?!?!

Thankfully this week didn't feel quite as crazy as I thought it would be, but I'm sure over the next couple months it will. I'm hoping we don't have too many cold and rainy nights over the course of the summer either. This past Wednesday we ended up missing Kyle's game because of the weather. Its not as easy as it used to be now that we have Ava. She really doesn't like getting rained on...I guess I don't blame her.

So far Kyle has really been enjoying playing on a majors baseball team. Its a whole new world watching his team play this year. They actually field the ball well and have some exciting plays. This season should be a lot of fun. So far they lost their first game, but won their second. Apparently Kyle had a really great play on Wednesday when he had to dive for a ball that came to him in the outfield. I wish I could have been there to see it. I hope to be there for the next one.

Ava Giggles

Well we finally caught it on camera. For a couple weeks now we have been trying to catch Ava giggling on camera, but every time we would get it out she would stop. Yesterday Dave and his Dad were able to catch it on video. As you can see she loves it when her Daddy comes home and asks her "How was your day today!".

Allicia's Final Dance Performance

This year Allicia has worked hard practicing both Ballet and Jazz. She had Ballet every Monday for and hour and Jazz every Tuesday for a half and hour. Today we were able to see her hard work in action. It was a big day full of dancing! Great job Allicia!

Allicia's Golden Birthday!

I really can't believe my little Allicia is already 8. It's just unreal how fast time goes. I know I have said it so many times...but my kids are just growing up way too fast.

Allicia started her birthday by seeing herself on TV twice and also hearing her name on the radio. Her brother submitted her name to the local news channel and so did her Grandma Dixie and Dave called her name into the local radio station. She was really surprised and thought it was very cool.

Since this year was Allicia's "Golden Birthday" we let her have an extra special birthday party. We rented a room at the local Ramada in, which has a really nice pool area, and we let her have 6 girls over for a sleep over. It was a really fun birthday party. All of the girls were extremely good. I have to say it was perfect type of party for a bunch of 7 and 8 year old girls. They stayed busy the entire time swimming (6 hours to be exact). Needless to say they were exhausted by the time we took showers and cleaned up for bed. And the best part was there wasn't even 1 catty girl fight! Amazing huh?!?!? It was so good I may even let her have a party like that again. Anyway...here are a few pictures from the party. Happy 8th Birthday Allicia!

Another post about Allicia's Hair

Today....Allicia got a big chunk of gum stuck in her hair. So we made a trip to the hair salon...and it ended like this. :)

Not Me Monday!

I avidly follow the My Charming Kids blog and love readying her "Not Me Monday's". Not Me Monday is where you fess up about some embarrassing things you've done in the past week. This week I decided to post my first Not Me Monday. So here goes.....

I did not wear my 3 1/2 month old facing forward in her sleepy wrap sling while going to the bathroom at the Metrodome. No Not Me!!!!!!!!

I also did not walk through my house just before our open house and do a last minute dusting job with my hand.

I'm sure there are many more things I did not do this past week...but those were the best ones I could come up with for now.....Maybe I'll try it again next week!

Ava's First Twins Game

Today Dave and I took Ava to her first Twins game. She had a blast and loved looking around at all the people. I think we have a new Twins fan in the family.
